A LOLcat is an image combining a photo of a cat and text, mean to be humorous. The text is meant to be spelt wrong and used in the way of "lolspeak". LOLcats are usually created and then posted onto numerous websites. Posters like these, originated in the 1970's, with the famous "Hang in There Baby" poster, which features a cat hanging from a tree branch. Since then, many different cats and sayings have been used to get a point across. All you need to create one of your own is a Sans Serif font, a picture of a cat, and a funny saying to go with it. Then show it to all your friends and see who has the last laugh.
